If you’re experiencing slow video buffering or the classes are failing to play, this is generally an indication that the tablet is struggling to connect to the internet.
Where possible, we recommend connecting the Kiosk to internet via an ethernet cable. Ethernet provides a much more stable connection than Wi-Fi, and it isn’t susceptible to outside interference (Bluetooth, other competing Wi-Fi signals, etc.).
If ethernet isn’t a possibility for you, the below tips may help with buffering:
- Reduce the number of devices operating on the same Wi-Fi signal.
- Switch the Wi-Fi from 2.4GHz to 5GHz (or vice versa).
- Peak periods may see a slower connection due to higher Wi-Fi usage in the area – monitor when the video buffering occurs to identify if this is the case.
- Ensure your internet plan is business grade and that there are no hardware issues with your router or modem.
